Low-carb, grain-free chocolate cake in a mug
1 tbsp salted butter (or coconut oil if you prefer dairy free)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
3 tbsp of almond flour
1-2 tsp (to taste) of sweet like syrup (sugar-free syrup)
Put the butter in a mug and microwave for 20-30 seconds or until melted. Add the cocoa powder and mix. Add the egg and mix. Add almond flour, baking powder, vanilla essence and 1 tsp of syrup and stir until mixed well. Taste to check it is to your liking and add some more syrup if you like it sweeter. Microwave for 60-90 seconds, until firm with a little bounce. Enjoy on its own or with some double cream.
